Factory Quality

We try to duplicate what parts may have looked like when new.  Generally, there will be polishing lines and/or minor pitting left on the surface of the parts before we plate them.  If the plating on the original parts did not have many imperfections, then Factory Quality is not for you.  Also, badly pitted pot metal or steel parts cannot be done to our Factory Quality.

High Quality

High Quality is our most popular plating. Parts are finished to a smoother surface and there are very few surface imperfections left in the final finish. However, it is likely that some parts may have imperfections that could only be removed with extra polishing and plating steps that would increase the stated price.

MORE AND MORE WE FIND CUSTOMERS REJECTION THESE IMPERFECTIONS AND EXPECTING CUSTOMCHROME TO ABSORB THE COST OF RE-DOING THE PART. IF YOU REALLY WANT PARTS WITH NO FLAWS, YOU SHOULD CHOOSE SHOW QUALITY INSTEAD OF HIGH QUALITY.

Show Quality

As perfect as we can do it!  Show Quality pricing cannot finalized until the job is done since we cannot estimate what it will take to get perfection, or near perfection.  We will estimate the cost at the High Quality Level.  Any extra work over and above the estimated price will be added upon completion.  Additional charges of 5% to 50% over High Quality are common.

If you choose a lesser quality than Show Quality and want to upgrade your finished product to a higher quality upon viewing the part, we will be happy to do this for you at an additional charge.
